The Pauline Bishop Leman Memorial Award

3/6/2004

Since 1929, the Pauline Bishop Leman Memorial Award has been presented to a  senior student who has made "the most outstanding artistic achievement" during the  academic year.  Awards have been given to students of varied majors for their creative  ability and accomplishments in art, poetry and short stories, dramatic roles, music, dance,  interior and fashion design, photography, and other artistic and creative contributions.  The original marble and bronze memorial is located in the portico of the Old Main Building.  The name of the student designated will be placed on a bronze plate at the base  of the plaque and will receive a small medallion, modeled after the large plaque, as an  individual trophy.

Diane is a professor’s dream to work with inside and outside of class,” said John Weinkein, director of the TWU School of the Arts. “She is highly conscientious, dedicated and committed to her academic work and studio work.”
