• Two Boys Fishing
There is a winding creek near my home where the children love to play along its banks. The water is barely ankle deep along its path, although here are some deeper areas where one can find minnos and toads. Often, I see dangling lines from the end of fishing poles, floating about the rippling current. Attached to those poles are the hands of children, no doubt anticipating a fine catch. It was one fine Spring day when these two boys took a time out at the creek and I had the pleasure of sharing their adventure. Acrylic on canvas 36"x36"

While studying art history in Athens, Greece, I ventured into the streets of the Plaka, an area congested with colorful shops and open air markets. As I strolled along the narrow streets, I came upon three men playing a game. Their table and chairs were sitting in a parking place on the street. Just as I shot a photograph of the scene, one of the men looked up at me. One part of me sensed guilt for intruding their space. The other part of me could not wait to capture these guys on canvas, passing the time of day together. Acrylic on canvas 36"x36"
